The Nintendo Wii is a video game system with motion sensing. Motion Sensing is when the Wii sensor Bar will automatically detect the movements of the Wii Remote™.
The Wii Remote is a device that has a camera built into it, which detects the Infrared LEDs emitted from the Sensor Bar. When the Wii Remote sees the LEDs it can estimate where the Television is, thus having a pointer on the screen that can select things.The Wii can also detect motion that isn’t pointing at something, such as the movement of the Wii remote like a Baseball bat, or a golf club. In some instances, the Wii Remote is an Improvement of the Power Glove.
The Wii has proved to be good competition for actual outdoor activity, which has caused quite a controversy. Many people are mad about this, but the truth is, sports Video Games have existed since way before the Wii. So the Wii Sports is just a more fun way to play.Like most, if not all, video game systems, the Wii was unveiled at E3, the ELECTRONICS ENTERTAINMENT EXPO, Which is a Game Convention somewhere in California.
The Wii developed a huge interest from gamers, and is the best selling system from this generation.
So in conclusion, the Wii is a unique and interesting system and quite a big competition for the Playstation 3 and the X-Box 360, especially with that low price tag of $270. Check it out at your local Video Games Retailer.

I think that it decreases their interest in outdoor activities because they could be addicted to the game. If they are addicted to the game they will always want to go to the next level, then the next level and then the next. Also they could use the excuse of "oh but i am being active" or "but i get enough activeity playing wii" because it uses motin censor to track your movements. Personnaly i have decraesed my interest in outdoor activities because i always want to keep playing wii. even though it is really fun there are other activities you can do that are just as fun.
i guess it just depends what game you buy! lol
the wii is a system that is advanced in technoligy and fun for everyone .I do beleive that it is parsoly lowering out door activity but in the end it dose depends on the type of pearson they are .deatail it is that the system is to be played sitting down as well as as standing.connecttion when I play the wii it is more fun standing and moving around then it is to sit .in all i think the wii is a great and fun system for everyone
I think it decreases their interest in outdoor activities because they could just think oh im getting my exercise might as well stay inside. Since the game is realistic to playing outside it can addict gamers and I realized you only need to move your upper body to play Wii games so that means you are not working every part part of the body. I have a Wii and it definatly decreases my interest of playing outside because it is very fun and playable. Though Wiis are fun there are other activities to do outside that are just as fun.
